Prof.Kolakaluri Madhu Jyoti was
born and brought up in Anantapuram, Anantapuram District, Andhra Pradesh. She
completed her M.A. in 1990 from Sri Venkateswara University and qualified UGC
NET-JRF in 1991. She did Ph.D. from Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapuram
in 1995. She qualified Rashtra Basha –II
in 1985, Abhijna –II in 1987, P.G. Diploma in Translation in 1993 from Andhra
University, Waltair and P.G.Diploma in
Tamil in 1996 from S.K.University, Anantapur.
She has 26 years of teaching and
research experience. she was appiointed
as lecturer in 1993. she has experiance as Lecture 5years, as Senior Lecturer
4years, as Associate professor 7 years, as
professor 8 years 10 months.
She has published 20 Books and 3 books for different institutions. some
of them are very familiar i.e., NAANNA, Dr. Bezawada Gopala Reddy
Kavitwam-Soundaryam, Telugu Sahiti Vastu Parinamam, Sahitya Veekshanam, Dandora
– Ambedkar Abhistam, Sri Tallapaka Sahityaanuseelanam, Pidikedu Alochanalu,
Acharya Kolakaluri Enoch Sahityam pai Vimarsanam, Gurram Joshua Jeevita
Charitra, Dalita Sahitya Sowndarya Tatvam,
Streevada Sahityam –Samajikaavasaram, Adhunika Telugu Sahityam-. Dalita
Samskriti, Guppedu Talapulu and Ammammako Appaginta.
She has published 77 research
articles in reputed Journals and conferences proceedings. She has participated
and presented research papers in 15
International conferences, 185 National seminars/conferences and organised 6
seminars.
She has completed two major and
four minor research projects. 10 scholars awarded Ph.D. and 4 M.Phil. and at
present 7 scholars are working for Ph.D. and 3 for M.Phil. under her guidance.
Her areas of specialisation and
research are Literature, Literary
Criticism, Translation, Linguistics & Folk Literature.
she was honoured with State
Teacher Award, Govt of Andhra Pradesh in 2011, Gurram Joshua award by Govt. of
AP ,Vijayawada in 2016 and Ugadi Puraskaram by Govt. of AP at Vijayawada in
2017 besides 11 other awards by different organisations.
